May 13th - Debate "The European Parliament and the European Citizenship” - Lisbon

On the next 13th of May (Wednesday), around 6.30 pm, the debate “The European Parliament and the European Citizenship” will take place, on the FCSH (Fac. Ciencias Sociais e Humanas) of the UNL (University Nova de Lisboa), at the Av. Berna in Lisbon)

This debate, organized by the Lisbon team of CafeBabel in partnership with the NECPRI (Group of Political Science and International Relations Studies), aims to refer the themes around the European Parliament – mentioning issues such as the importance of the parliament, the coming elections, and the role of the European citizen regarding this Parliament.

As speakers the group will invite some of the main national names on the European thematic. Soon we will announce details regarding confirmed speakers and the programme of the debate.

European Socialist Party opposes to Polish "moral clause"

Anna Colombo has positively responded to an internet campaign directed to the presidency of the Commission, the European parliamentary groups and the Portuguese prime-minister and protesting against the moral exception imposed by Poland, which will allow its government to stop its citizens of appealing to European justice whenever the “family values” might be at stake.
